Gremlin Extended Care

Gremlin Extended Care offers summer and after-school programming at Houghton Elementary. This program is available for children in kindergarten through grade 5. The after school program will be available on days that school is in session. Hours will be from 3:21 p.m. (dismissal) until 5:30 p.m. The program will begin on the first day of school and follow the school calendar including holidays, vacations, etc. If a teacher in-service is scheduled or school is canceled due to inclement weather, the program will not operate.

Low cost user fees will be charged to help operate and to sustain the program. To enroll your child, please sign up in Gremlin Extended Care Office (across from the library) or call 906-482-0456 ex 3250. The program is licensed by the State of Michigan. Program curriculum includes a healthy snack followed by tutoring or homework help, hands-on learning and enrichment activities including art, science, sports, health, drama, music, outdoors, recreation and interest or explorer clubs.
