Snow-Day Information

The decision to close school can be a difficult one because of the unpredictable nature of weather. There are times when weather systems do not appear as predicted. A school closing involves many factors including temperature, wind chill, visibility, road conditions, snow plowing roads and parking lots and weather forecasts.

In the event of inclement weather, please listen to any local radio or television stations. If bad weather or other emergencies occur during the school day, please listen to local media stations for possible early dismissal information. If we dismiss early for an emergency, after-school functions may be canceled. When in doubt, call the school or check emails and the school website.

The announcement will be on our district website, sent out via email List Serve and broadcasted by the local radio stations 102.3, 93.5, 97.7-kbear102.com and TV 6 news.

Note: Please use multiple sources of information to check for school closures. If power is out, you need to be able to access other sources of information.
