Many Food Choices
Students are offered 2 entry choices along with
a salad bar and a yogurt bar. These options are
found on our menus. The middle and high school
students also have the options of lunch combo
meals. Examples include hot lunch entrees,
salads, sandwiches, and pizza, all of which are
served with a milk and fruit or vegetable. The
combos are offered at a free or reduced cost to
qualifying students.
Meal Prices
Students
Full-pay breakfast is $2.00 for all students.
Reduced breakfast is $.30 for all students.
Full-pay lunch is $3.00 for K-5 students and
$3.25 for 6-12 students.
Reduced lunch is
$.40 for all students.
Milk, when
purchased separately, is available to all
students for $.50.
Adults
Breakfast: $3.00
Lunch: $5.25; $4.00 for just an entrée or salad
bar

National School Lunch Program Lunch Applications
The Houghton-Portage Township Schools offers
lunches free or at a reduced rate to those
students who qualify. Free & Reduced Price Lunch
Applications are sent home at the beginning of
each school year. If you feel you qualify for
the program, please carefully follow the
instructions on the letter attached to the
application and return the completed application
to your student(s) school. If you prefer to
complete the form online, please
click here. Only one
application needs to be completed for each
household. Please review the information prior
to submitting your application to ensure all
required areas have been completed. Applications
that are incomplete will be returned and the
eligibility process will be delayed.
A new application MUST be completed for
each school year. You will be
responsible for any charges to your student(s)
account during the approval process or during
any period that your student(s) qualification
lapses.
